Other quick question:

For my notes - Although with some added work I was able to get the unit to play songs, sounds and speech, is there a way to make the unit able to emulate a Mockingboard A, B or C in so far as the user to being able to play games and have the program recognize the Mockingboard D? Or does the program have to support the Mockingboard D directly?

I had thought someone had mentioned there was a program that allowed the Mockingboard D to emulate the other Mockingboards, but I now can't seem to find it in my notes file or who it was that mentioned the fact.

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Because of the very indirect connection (serial port) of the
Mockinboard D, it is very unlikely that any general solution
for making it "compatible" with the bus Mockingboards is possible.

Specific code could be integrated with specific titles to allow
them to operate a "D", but the realities of memory usage conflicts
would rule out any general solution.
