First computer used: Apple II europlus in 1982 - I was one of the lucky
2 or 3 in our class of 30 or so chosen to use the school's only
computer. My first disk cost NZ$5. We used Logo, but what really hooked
me were the classic games: Bug Attack, Swashbuckler etc. "How did they
do that?" I wondered. Well, a couple of years later I knew. ;-)

And in the expanded style of answers above ...
First computer owned: ZX-81 (a gift from parents with foresight)

Family computers: Apple II+ clone ("MCP") with RGB card, replaced by
Apple //e with DuoDisk, joined by Apple IIGS Rom 3 (I still have the
latter two)

First computer destroyed: Apple II+ clone ("MCP") - oops!

First computer used to earn a living: Apple IIGS (porting BBC
educational software to the Apple //e in 1991)

First computer purchased: Acorn Archimedes A5000 (25MHz ARM3, 2MB RAM,
40MB HDD, RISC-OS in ROM) and NEC 3D VGA monitor (worked great on the
IIGS too)

Recent computers purchased: Apple //c, Mac LC 475 (to use with an Apple
//e card)
