Some sort of IBM minicomputer/mainframe.  Don't remember much other than 
that it was big.  A local company where my Dad had some friends at was 
switching to a computer based inventory and accounting system and they 
were in the process of getting ready when my Dad and I where there one 
Saturday afternoon after the close of business and the IT guy let me sit 
down at one of the terminals and play Lunar Lander.  I don't remember if 
there was graphics, but I do remember a lot of scrolling text.  This 
probably would have been the summer of '81.

Toward the end of my '81 to '82 school year as a Junior, we got to work 
with some ][+'s in typing class.  Next year, the school I went to had an 
actual computer class.  It took us students about two weeks to know more 
of what was going on than the teacher.  (Who was just a science teacher 
who'd never done much with computers.)

Bought a //e on February 2, 1984 from Team Electronics.
