That answer is easy: just follow Apple's hardware design guidelines.
Likewise, if Apple Computer Inc. AND all of the dozens of memory
expansion card manufacturers for the Apple IIGS felt that it was
important to include:
A) series resistors to dampen ringing
B) inverters to maintain signal integrity
C) gold plated fingers, for card to slot connectivity and longevity
D) demux's on BOTH the RAS and CAS lines to maximize DRAM compatibility
E) bus trancievers to minimize noise and loading
should't someone get a clue from all of these when making a new card?
Remember there were a great many RAM cards out for the GS before the
advent of accelerators for the platform, so clearly accelerator
stability wasn't the issue for them (but for me it is).
