FPGA solutions are not usually characterized by low power. It would be interesting to see a power comparison between an FPGA Apple II and an emulated Apple II running on an ARM, for example. And "carry anywhere" doesn't meet my need for an Apple peripheral bus with several standard 50-pin connectors... I think Alex meant, "What kind of product is wanted, and by whom?"
