My Visionary GS card (nee AST Vision Plus) finally arrived today!
However, after I installed it and running Allison 1.0.5, a message pops
up on screen: "Enhanced Vision Plus digitizer not found." I then tried
the old VisionEffects software (circa 1986) for original AST board and
saw a similar message--no detection of the card.
To make a long story short, I pulled every card from my IIgs and
tried every possible configuration to no avail. Doing a little digging
I found a _demo_ pre-release version of Allison 1.00 which does
in fact work. Unfortunately, as a demo, I cannot save images and
it has lots of glitches. It's only somewhat useful as a diagnostic tool.
My conclusion is I need an older version of the Allison software
(v1.00, 1.01, 1.02, 1.03 or 1.04). Or failing that, someone with an
EPROM burner to copy me the firmware Alltech shipped with the
card. Functionally I think the Visionary GS and Enhanced Vision
Plus are the same, apart from firmware.
...So I'm rather stuck. Can anyone out there help?
