I'm affraid so. However I have seen a while ago a proto board to fit Apple 2
slots. In fact it
has several sets of "fingers" to fit a number of computers.
Proto board for ISA bus are available too. Probably not hard to cut the
connector to 50 contacts.

XC9536XL. More or less the same thing but I prefer Xilinx tools for my
"real" projects.
