ADTPro beta available

I had posted a notice over on comp.emulators.apple2 last month about
the ADTPro alpha, so this might be old news to you if you read that
newsgroup too. But 3 revs later, ADTPro has shed the bugs I am aware
of so far. So here you have it:

http://adtpro.sourceforge.net

ADTPro (Apple Disk Transfer ProDOS) expands on the venerable ADT's
functionality by running under ProDOS. That gives it the power to
read, write and transfer anything ProDOS can spin (5.25, 3.5 disks,
hard drives, CFFA partitions, etc.). ADTPro is currently only
compatible with the Super Serial Card, even though Apple was kind
enough to give us serial ports right in the IIgs box.

In order to move arbitrarily sized disk images around, I needed to add
to the original ADT protocol a little. While I was in there, I added
the ability to change directories from either the client or the server
end. I also ported the server to Java, which gave me a couple of
advantages: 1, I could leverage a bunch of great open source software
to help jockey various disk formats around (.dsk, .po, .do, .2mg,
.nib... Thanks, AppleCommander!). 2, I could get something that could
reach a little beyond MSDOS and Windows, platform-wise. Both were
important design points to me. The ADTPro server remains compatible
with the original ADT client.

So, even though the Java part might be a bit of a pain for those that
don't have it already installed... give it a try and let me know what
you think.
