All,
So I was cruising ebay, as I normally do, and saw the auction for a
prototype //c mainboard here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Prototype-Apple-IIc-c-Motherboard-pre-release-II_W0QQitemZ140004638110QQihZ004QQcategoryZ51046QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
(Item number 140004638110)
Now here's the thing: scroll down to the photo with the monitor
displaying "System OK." Look at what the monitor is sitting on.
That doesn't look like any other Apple product I know of. It looks like
the top of a IIGS case, missing any logo graphics except the Apple
rainbow logo itself, but with a slot for a 3.5" disk. In other words,
that looks like a "Mark Twain" Rom04 GS to me. Having never seen one
personally, I couldn't possibly be sure. Notice the exposed IIGS, next
to the monitor, and the empty ram card on the desk in front of the
monitor. It all seems VERY interesting...
So, does anyone here care to comment?
