Yes, very rare, and I don't really see a reason to make another one for

Yes, you are correct, as the UV rays are filtered quite a lot by the frosted
glass in the tubing which contains the phosphorous gases. The UV light is
also reflected by other surfaces which change it's strength from one point
of connection to another. Light is a funny thing. It even exists in complete
darkness.  :o)

I have no doubt that pure sunlight (which contains ALL of the spectrum,
and flourescent artificial light does not) will, in fact, bleach the case
pure white.
