Hmm.. There is actually one possibility nobody has mentioned here. It
isn't easy, and it isn't perfect. But you create an exact negative
image of whatever was burned onto the screen, then burn that in. That
will, to some extent, equalize the burn in so that it is barely
visable. You might have to use a graphics drawing program and work at
it pixel by pixel to get it right. But keep in mind it would take
another 6 months to burn that in. I'm not sure it is worth the
electricity bill. It might accelerate the process by turning the
brightness up to max. (which it may already be, that is probably why
it burned in badly in only 6 months) Yep.. dim text seldomly burns in.
THe brighter it is, almost exponentially increases burn-in rate.

Don't be that evil. That would turn everyone's IIc yellow.. not
white.
