I would too, but this book is of more use to somebody who wants to hack
the Pascal System than somebody who wants to write programs...

Here you can find the introductory manual that came with Apple Pascal,
The Language reference for 1.0, 1.1 update plus the 1.2 update.
It does't have the operating system reference manual which is necessary
to learn how to use the tools completely, but the intro book covers
most of what you need to know.
Ideally, use Pascal 1.3 if you can find it - it supports 3.5" drives
and is tweaked to handle the enhanced firmware of the IIe and IIc. It
also contains a few workaround patches if you're going to be developing
on a IIgs.
If you're going to be using a II+, it probably doesn't matter which
version you use, but 1.2 will provide a slightly better program space.
