10W is apparently only enough to keep your drink lukewarm (somewhere around
100�).

The thing I wonder about, though, is that you're only supposed to pull 500
mA from a USB port, and a device should only do that after negotiating with
the host to do that.  Before that, a device should draw no more than 100 mA. 
10 W @ 5 V -> 2 A, which is a fair bit more than the USB spec allows.

The warmer I have at work keeps coffee warm enough with 18 W.  There are
enough empty outlets on the surge suppressor for it, and I don't have to
worry about it overloading a USB port.
