Re: Origin of Apple "Lisa" Computer Name : Apple IIe Software ?
Being as the Lisa Symbolic Assembler
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_assembler) was produced well before
any mention of a Lisa computer was even thought of, I find it highly
illogical that there would be a copyright issue here.
But of course Randy Hyde probably could have sued Apple on the naming
but that would have been a David versus Goliath battle that no one
could have won in that day.
But if you are into that kind of thing, take a look at the war that
occured between Penguin Software (Polarware,
http://www.magictree.com/polarware/) and Penguin Books.
As for the naming of the Lisa Computer, just refer to Steve's daughter.
(as with many other products in Apple and as mentioned before).
