Add a serial card to your II+ (if you don't have one already), connect it to
one of your Linux box's serial ports through a null-modem cable, and fire up
a comm program of some sort on the II+ (don't know offhand which apps would
work, but I know that ProTERM won't...maybe Kermit or Modem MGR will).  

On the Linux side, you'll need a getty of some sort (I used to use mgetty
back in the day) running on the serial port.  When you connect, pressing
Return should bring up a login prompt.  If you have lrzsz installed, you can
transfer files with ZMODEM (or with YMODEM or XMODEM, if the comm program
running on the II+ doesn't support ZMODEM).
