I use floppies in my company for emergency starting of a system.  And,
that's basically it.  I can also use a rescue disk, however as the
disperate nature of the computers that we have all over the world,
there is no guarentee that the CD will be 1. bootable, 2. read.

So floppies still rule in that fasion.

As to being easlly access and written to quickly LOL omg, hardly.

Have a floppy that can hold 70 minutes of music.  It would take LONGER
to write to it, than it would take to burn  a CDRW in today's disc
drives.

That's a very subjective way to look at that.
