Sony CPD-1302 monitor -- IIGS cable?

    I happened to come across a Sony CPD-1302 RGB monitor this afternoon, 
which I believe will work with my Apple IIGS. My concern is the connector
on back is DE-9 female. Would I need to build my own customer cable or
can I find some sort of common adapter? (wanted to check before buying 
the display). I've never actually soldered my own video cable so finding an
existing one online is probably my best bet.

    I'm also curious how it compares in terms of color quality (and how dark
tinted it is) compared with the AppleColor RGB. I was disappointed by the
NEC MultiSync 3D I bought several years back--while it was much sharper
the colors were washed out next to the Apple display.
