Re: Terence J. Boldt's site
The site has always been up, just that it was difficult to find after I
dropped the old domain. I'm glad you find value in the site.
If there is interest in old style hardware and software hacking, I
could eventually post some other stuff. I have a very simple small
prototype with limited ROM which allows you to boot through the serial
port. I wrote software for Windows that stores the hard drive image as
raw ProDOS blocks (compatible with most emulators). Right now due to a
firmware bug it only works with the IIgs serial port but this could be
fixed. Also there is no error checking. It also can run strictly in
software without a card but then it's not bootable and many apps tend
to overwrite the section of memory where the driver code is and cause
it to crash.
Anyway, the site is really out of date and until now no one has emailed
or posted anything about the site in at least a couple years. Let me
know if anyone cares to see various hardware and software hacks for the
Apple II and maybe I'll update the site...
