Sony GVM-1311Q Monitor on a GS:  Review

I just picked up a 13" Sony GVM-1211Q for my GS.  This is a rare
Trinitron Multi-Sync monitor which supports 15-36 kHz horizontal
scanning and 50-100 Hz vertical scanning freqencies.  It has a DOT
pitch of .25 and offers a composite resolution of up to 600 lines and a
RGB resolution of 900 x 560.  The resulting display is the sharpest
I've seen on a GS.

A variety of inputs are offered: 9-pin RGB (both analog and digital),
25-pin RGB, SVideo, and a handful of other TV type composite inputs.
It also offers an overlay feature which is way cool.

The monitor enables the use of a VGA PC and a GS without a monitor
switch due to 2 inputs and a front mounted input selector.

A custom cable needed to be created, I don't know if there is a
standard for Sony's 9-pin RGB, but the pinouts did not match NEC's
earlier models not was it remotely close to CGA or EGA pinouts.  The
pinouts MIGHT be the same for other Sony's which can scan down to 15
kHz and offer a 9-pin RGB connector.

In a GS Monitor RED, GREEN, and BLUE all have independent Grounds, the
Sony combines all of these into Pin 1.
