Right, but Apple makes their money off of hardware, and rather than 
forcing a fragile licensing scheme on their users they use the 
machine/dongle to know that the person consuming tech support resources 
and raising their costs (and thus prices for everyone) is legitimately 
using the product they need help with. Two different business models 
have two different ways to conform to SEC regs.

And now back to our regularly-scheduled 8-bit machines....
