A lot of them went into classrooms, paired with laser disks
for art history classes, etc.
There was apparently a lot of unsold inventory, because NIB
VOCs were quite common a few years ago, and they continue
to be resold now--often for much less than $100.
Now, if someone wrote some nice software supporting them on
a //e, they might get more useful. ;-)
