I wouldn't bet on it too much unless you plan to suffer some serious
quality loss.  Apple had some cool ports of games that originated on
other platforms (Archon, anyone?)   However, the architecture was
rather limited when working with graphics and sound.  C64 was, by
comparison, easier to write games of a higher quality.  You can tell by
the crazy stuff cranked out by the demo coders.  Someone did a really
cool port of the future crew "second reality" demo to the C64 graphics
and even converted the s3m soundtrack to a SID.  I really don't think
you can pull that off on a //e.

It takes quite a considerable amount of work to utilize the //e
double-hires graphics page, and not many game developers were all that
successful at it.  Granted, there were a few good ones out there, such
as Broderbund's Airheart, the Epyx conversion of Rad Warrior (In
europe: Antirad) and a very small number of others.
