I seriously doubt that someone is going to sue a hobbiest for producing
a breadboard recreation of 20-year old technology that is in
next-to-zero demand. Legal ramifications aside (IANAL, but I doubt
there's any battle to worry about there), the likelihood is higher that
your //e will start performing native 32-bit operations before anyone
tries to hunt you down.
(if only I didn't destroy my zip chip long ago.. oh well, it was really
good at making things unstable anyway, but mandelbrot generation became
almost bearable)
