Re: Remote triggering an Apple II

I have a project in mind that requires having one or more A2s triggered
via a footswitch and I'm wondering ig the following setup will do the job:

------ -=-
Apple | PB0 <--------/switch/-------- POS | |
Game | | | 4.5 V Battery
Port  | GND ------------------------> NEG |   |
------ ---

You can do it without the battery, since +5 is available on the
game connector:

               |
               o |
                 |- Switch
               o |
               |
PB0 >----------+
               |
               /
               \ 220 ohms
               /
               \
               |
Gnd >----------+

If you're triggering more than one Apple, you only need to connect
to the +5 of one of them, and will only need one 220 ohm resistor.
In other words, just run the "PB0" and "Gnd" lines to the other
computers.
