Okay, I saw something that piqued my interest at the local Goodwill
today. It was an old Mac, LC and three numbers I can't remember, that
had both a CD ROM drive and a 3.5" floppy drive. Is it possible I could
use something like this to transfer stuff off of the Time in a Bottle
CD set onto Prodos 3.5" floppies? Would I be able to use a GS mouse
and keyboard with it, if it does? I certainly wouldn't mind paying $15
bucks to get it if this would work.

That's an ideal system to use as an Apple II peripheral. Not only will it
read and write Prodos floppies, but you'll also have very little trouble
getting it on the internet. If it doesn't already have one, you can add a
10 Mbps ethernet card for a few bucks, or use a printer cable to do
LocalTalk to your GS... and your ADB mouse/kb will work with it.

Thanks, Simon. All I really need is something that will take the
software off the Time in a Bottle CDs and transfer them to a media more
usable for my 8 and 16 bit machines. It'd really be great if I could
hook my external 5.25" floppy drive to it as well.

You won't be able to do that unless you connect it to an Apple //e
Emulation Card inserted in the PDS of the Mac.
