The standard mode of operation for some emulators is to assume that 140K
images are .do and all others are .po.  The default output format for "new
disk image" and some of the tools follows this convention for this reason.

Other options are to use .2mg (which explicitly specifies the sector
ordering, but isn't supported by some older emulators) or .nib (for which
sector ordering is irrelevant).
