How "compatible" can it be, when you have to forgo video output? A
relay-based computer will be four to five orders of magnitude too slow
to generate video.
And aside from that, you'd be waiting for weeks just to get to a monitor
prompt, or much longer for BASIC.
Building a relay computer would be fun, but there's absolutely no point
in trying to make it Apple-compatible.
