Might get as far as using the same data link protocol as localtalk, but
that's about it. The Workstation card was one of the most complex
addons made - containing it's own processor and a considerable amount
of software in ROM. Implementing the entire Appletalk protocol stack on
a 8-bit Apple II is essentially impossible; you wouldn't get either
enough comms speed, or have enough memory left over to do anything
useful. Unless of course you're talking about Apple IIe's with zip
chips and RamWorks cards (my personal favorite, and a drastically
underutilised platform)
