DOS 3.3: "64K Slave Disk" ?

I know Diversi-DOS is capable of making 64K DOS boot disks, but I don't 
really want to use Diversi-DOS.

Does anyone know if it's possible to make a 64K DOS boot disk with a 
normal DOS? (Actually, STOS, the one I use on the DOS 3.3 versions of 
Apple Crunch.)  I have a crunched program that hangs under 48K DOS and 
ProDOS+BASIC.SYSTEM but works fine with ProDOS+PDOS.SYSTEM, RDOS and 64K 
DOS.
