Googling has provided two model numbers:
A2S4000 (original //c?)
A2S4100 (...?)

The easiest hint tell an original //c from a later model is to look at the keyboard and drive door.

If the KB and door are beige, it's more likely to be an original - if the keys are platinum (grey), it's more likely to be at least a 3.5 drive ROM or memory expansion compatible one.

Now, it's quite possible to upgrade an old //c to accept the 3.5 drive ROM - but you'd still have flakey serial ports (not too many modded original //c units in the wild).
