well according to the above link..it was an apple ii network card for
education....i think i'd heard or seen this before..i have a setup called
'compulynx' that does a network of the ap2's and has a sub station etc to
run apple //e's off a main computer..maybe that is what i saw...it at..or
used in?
but it is prob something like that....networks for ap2 that i can think of

There were apparently lots of proprietary networks developed for
the school environment. I imagine they were sold on the basis of
convenience, minimizing the number of application disks required (!),
and reducing damage and vandalism to the disks. Printer sharing
would also be a common advantage, though not supported by all nets.
I know that there was a network developed in Australia that attached
to a Disk ][ Controller, looking just like a (shared) floppy.
