Re: Wikipedia -- expanding Apple II presence with new articles

I've become increasingly interested in the Wikipedia site lately (for
those unfamiliar it's an online encyclopedia that anyone, even anonymous
users, can edit) but I found there's very few Apple II articles--and what
information there is, is rather limited compared to other platforms.

For that reason I thought I'd contribute a few articles. I started by writing a entire article (from scratch) on the Apple IIe just before Christmas as a kind of experiment. Here's the link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_IIe

Nice description!

I have a couple of "nits" to point out: 1) the two Apple keys are not
"function" keys (which deliver a key code), but "modifier" keys, like
Shift and Control. 2) You refer to the internal game port as "a set
of pins" when it would be more descriptive to say, "a 16-pin DIP
socket".

I'm planning to add articles on all the other Apple II model's and then maybe do some major editing of the existing "Apple II Family" and IIgs articles. The only disadvantage is it's opened to potential vandalism, poor outside editing and misinformation. In any case, if people here think it's a good idea I'll go for it. At the very least I hope it's useful to new users and collectors out there.

I came across one of these entries a year or so ago and corrected some
errors. When I returned to view it, however, the errors were back.
Apparently the "editors" are not easily moved to research. ;-(
