All,
So I have the SuperDrive controller in Slot 5 of my ROM 3 GS, hooked up
to two drives.
In the "Slots" Classic Control Panel, I have Slot 5 set to "My Card"
and the card (and its drives) work fine.
When Slot 5 is set this way, however, it doesn't seem that I can have a
RamDisk. I know that the RamDisk normally maps to Slot 5, Drive 2, so
I'm guessing that the SuperDrive controller won't "give up" that drive
number for the RamDisk.
(As you recall, with the regular smartport hookup, the second 3.5"
drive remaps to Slot 2, Drive 1 when you set a RamDisk.)
So, am I stuck? Or should I move the SuperDrive controller to a
different slot if I want a Ram Disk? (Note: I have a CFFA coming, so
Slot 7 is not an option.) And if so, what slot other than 5 or 7 can I
use?
(Personally, I think I'm just stuck here.)
