John, it's pretty clear that you have an axe to grind.

Since this newsgroup is dedicated to the Apple II, whose
very existence is based on 143KB 5.25" floppies, perhaps
you could grind it somewhere else.

Go bother the Mac folks--they seem to have opinions about
floppies...
