I suppose I'm still lame, but you have to crawl before you run I suppose. 
I've finally cracked an Apple ][ program even if it was a real small one. 
:)  It's nothing important, but if it's useful to anyone to put the 
13-sector booter onto a DOS disk, since after all BOOT13 doesn't work for 
everything as someone else here said... I don't care.  The BASIC loader is 
not included but it didn't have to be, I had already whipped one up, it's 
not as good as loader.obj0 but it works.

I need to learn about this stuff.

What I want to do with Hard Hat Mack is the same thing on a more complex 
scale.  Nonstandard loader loads memory contents and jumps to set 
location, same damn thing I did with BASICS.  I can understand why there 
used to be fastloaders, hell, DOS 3.3 is slow as mud, but with STOS, 
David-DOS, Diversi-DOS, ProntoDOS, ESDOS, that's a moot point anymore. 
And with UniDOS and ProDOS, it's just a pain in the ass. >_<

I was always little more than a l33ch, never did anything for the 
community.  I'm hoping to make some use of the little I know of the Apple. 
(Okay, an emulator is easy enough.  A DOS?  Cracking programs?  Cloning 
programs?  That's all something much harder to pull off.)
