After a little more research, I found this site: http://www.apple2.org.za/mirrors/ftp.apple.asimov.net/images/utility/word_processing/ is it as simple as downloading these BSW programs and putting them on a floppy? I'm not familiar with the file extensions. Or, will these need to be installed on the apple in question?
I'm redirecting this discussion to the main Apple II group comp.sys.apple2. Answers will appear there.
I'm afraid it isn't so easy. Most Apple floppy drives cannot read PC disks, and PC floppy drives cannot easily read most Apple disks. Your options are basically either going through an older Apple Macintosh as an in-between (those can handle both PC-formatted and Apple II-formatted floppy disks) or establishing a serial cable between the PC and the Apple and sending the file down that channel.
It's all covered in great detail in the comp.sys.apple2 FAQ which is posted regularly and can also be found easily on Google Groups.
