You want to create _text_ files containing Applesoft programs
that you can/could EXEC into Applesoft and save as BASIC program
files. Right?
Ciderpress will do this quite easily. You can set options so
that the PC .txt file converts to an Apple text file, with the
CR-LF to CR conversion.
It _isn't_ an "Applesoft BASIC" file until the text file has
been EXECed into an emulator and the program saved to a disk
image.
Yes. I did tell CiderPress to do this (I actually named the file
<filename>.bas and it picked it up as a BASIC file, but, it still mangled
the first line of my code. Now, in the text file, I also have line number
(shouldn't be a problem).
When I execute the file in applesoft it really doesn't work as expected,
because of the mangling. That's really where my beef is.
