We're still discussing which sound digitizer card would
be the best to go with.

I'd like a slotless sound card that fits under the PS or in place of that other digitizer I have adjacent to PS attached to the back, regardless of the schematic you go with. (Or wherever you can make it fit.) Maybe one that also has a digitizer and will output line level only so it will be compatible with most of the speakers out there (and my stereo) while minimizing the power draw on the IIgs.

Actually, most of the IIgs sound cards don't even need
the slot, except for power. The card can go anywhere,
as long as it draws power from somewhere, so a card for
slot 3, or an external device with a cable to a small
card in slot 3 just for power would work just fine.
Honestly, the LM324 low power OP-Amp I planned to use
would give only line-out wattage. I have used my ECON
SoundMeister with powered speakers from the line-out
port without any distortion at all. It's got the line
for digitizing sound in as well. A very fine sound card
for the IIgs indeed. If you prefer, it can be made to
fit under the PSU, but I'd be leary of doing so as it
may pick up RF's from the power caps. An external type
device getting power from slot 3 might be the next best
thing. Tell me what you think, and we'll get to work.

Thanks for your 2 cents, which is always welcome. :o)

I use a AE soundcard for sterio output It doesnt need a slot but for digitizing sound It requires a slot set to "Your Card"
