Re: Apple II lores GR "movies"
Martin, glad you liked the movies....
hah. TILA? my favorite is the CASSINI space probe animation. TILA was
the first one i did and i hadn't got the entire process down yet.... so
i feel it's a little buggy. CASSINI was the latest one, and i've gotten
much better at parsing the frame data in Quicktime so that it isn't
out-of-order, jerky, etc.
Tell me more about the POKE $10 thing. my first impression is that it's
probably a hoax. but if it's true, i could actually run at like 20
frames per second or something. interestingly enough, 115k is faster
than the keyspan USB-serial adapter I have on my G4 will run! (probably
why i think the apple can't actually go that fast.)
We should take the movie data and use Micheal's synth program to create
the ultimate A2 Demo! I could probably compress almost 100 frames into
a 128k machine. take a few frames off for music/sound data. or stream
the info from a PC for real-time(-ish) video and DAC522 sound! think
big.
