Re: Troubleshooting on an Apple II
Hallo out there, thanks for all the good pieces of advice!
The motherboard is a Revision 4 part No. 820-0001-04, the computer has
Integer Basic Roms [341-0001/2/3] and Programmers Aid [341-0016] but I
don't know if it has a Autostart or Monitor Rom (the Rom just says F8
there is no number)
There are no LEDs on the board or near the speaker. One of the previous
owners (at a German university institute) installed some modifications
that I am not sure what they are. Looks like a lower case modification
and there is a Videx 80 character board wich some extras fitted - it is
connected to a extra switch installed next to the keyboard which might
enable swiching between 40 and 80 characters, but I am not sure, as I
have not seen the computer working so far.
When I power it on, the light on the Keyboard goes on, but there is no
beep and nothing on the sreen.
I'll try to keen the contacts now, as some of them are really dark
indeed, see what happens and report.
Best wishes
