True. Unlike the computers that you are comparing it to, the
Apple II had _no_ special sound hardware--just a flipflop that
could be toggled, a simple amplifier, and a speaker.
It is surprising to many that this simple hardware can be used
to produce relatively good sampled sound, but doing it requires
most of the computer's processing power.
I'm glad you liked RT.SYNTH. It was fun putting piano, banjo,
clarinet, vibraphone, etc., voices into it! And the electric
bass is pretty cool to play...
