  The 4 colors was for the Revision 0 board.  They only used that
revision a short time. They added a few more colors with the Revision 1
board.  Rev 0 boards are getting real hard to find, and would fetch a
good price these days.

  With the models mentioned in above posts, you have variations of each
model.  Several different versions of the //e, //c, ][+, etc...
Different motherboard revisions, keyboard manufaturers and designs,
etc, etc, etc...

  Just with the //e you have, and this is mostly complete:

With the white lettered keycaps
With the black lettered keycaps
With the thick case design like the ][+
With the thin plastic design most common
Rev A mother, that didn't support Hi-Res
Rev B that did... (2 versions I think.....)
Enhanced //e  (New chip set and 65C02 processor)
Rev C  Lower chip count on motherboard
Platinum //e with enhanced keyboard
Pal //e for Euro markets
