As others have stated, non-plastic-dissolving solvents work well,
but you will often find that a residual mark remains where the dye
has affected the plastic of the case.

In these cases (!) I use a toothbrush and some toothpaste to provide
a very light abrasive action to remove the dyed plastic.  It is easy
to "feather" the brushed region so that its use is invisible.

In difficult cases, a SoniCare vibrating toothbrush will make short
work of it, but be careful not to overdo it.  ;-)
