Re: Poll about Mockingboard h/w clone

Out of curiosity, what's the motivation in producing a phasor/mockingboard clone?

I still have my phasor card lying around somewhere. It was great for the Ultima series, Skyfox, and a few other games that used the card.

The Phasor card also had some good music tunes provided on disk too...like Popcorn. :D

Hi,

Eric Shepherd at www.a2central.com has been kind enough to host a poll
asking about interest in a Mockingboard/Phasor clone.

Anyone interested please participate: as numbers & feedback will factor
in whether this project takes off.

Thanks,
Tom

Okay; voted. A Mockingboard clone is a good idea. My main interest would
be in having the capabilities of the Sound II (or the basic Mockingboard A)--
i.e. two channels of three sounds each.
Practically everyone would want to hook up to a stereo system or
amplified speakers. So, designers could save some by eliminating the on-board
power amp and volume controls.
