Mike,
I posted my message to newsgroups about Sony TV 32 inch and 36 inch two
months ago. It is capable to display clear readable 80 column and DHGR.
The problem is that solid white line in 7 pixels look like 5 pixels because
1st pixel and 7th pixel are missing. It is how Sony TV is decoded using
digital instead of analog through video comp. since Michael Mahon explained
earlier.
I did experience in my own.
