It's not a patch, it's a full new version that shipped on floppy disk.

Unfortunately not. It still runs under ProDOS-8 and uses a custom
interface, and when I tried to launch it from under System 6.0.1 I get
a "Not enough memory" error. Obviously it's just not compatible, I
have over 8 MB RAM and even tried a shift-boot. Booting directly
from the floppy works, but then there's that screen-redraw issue.

I downloaded it from the Apple IIGS Anachronistic Application Ring:
http://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.za/the_ring/application_pages/fantavision.html

The about screen reports it as "Broderbunds New Fantavision GS" with
"(c)1991, Ver. 2.1". Maybe this a leaked beta version? Incidentally, I own
the original boxed version but never sent in for the update. I think even
a decade ago (when I learned about it) it was already too late.
