You may have to type new in all caps.  I had some success with that,
but it started giving me the third degree (name, address, gender, age,

     Agree. Someone logs onto your BBS, you happily accept their name
and, maybe, an email address. You don't give them the 3rd degree.

     Lost count of number of sites I've clicked off that wanted all
kinds of personal info. The net is a big place. Someone visits your
site, you darn well better be nice to them.


Rubywand

I finally was able to logon when I changed my telnet program. But I must have configured something wrong since I hit return and it junps, the defaults on his system are no for logging off. As far as the third degree, on my board, I asked a lot of stuff just to get to know who was using the system. Most never went where others could see it.
