     Not sure about "elegant". Maybe "adventuresome". Lots of iffy
variables. (Didn't know about entry point in image that sets hooks.
What is it?)

     If Joe feels like experimenting, fine. However it turns out,
he will eventually want an Apple II <--> PC serial connection for
transferring disks and files downloaded from the net.
