Thanks for the info, Joe. Glad to see you're still around.
;-)Unfortunately, I'd have a problem getting onto foxvalley, because
I'm on the wrong side of the country! It'd be a long distance call for
me to dial in. Still, it's nice to know there are still services like
this around.

Anyway, the reason I asked about FreeNET was because I heard elsewhere
on the net that there's some bill that's trying to do away with places
that want to offer internet access paid for by state and local
governments where there are already commercial ISPs. Some places want
to offer citywide wireless internet access, but companies like AOL,
Verizon and such feel that wouldn't be fair to them. In a way, I can
see their point, but still, I don't think it's fair to the rest of the
people who can't afford commercial services.
