Re: Most technically advanced apple II 8-bit games?

My friend introduced to Herb's when it was at it's original location (in some wherehouse space) in the South Bay. Then the store moved and I visited once more. The next time I came by, the store was gone.

Anyone know what happened and why it closed?

I spent a ton of time Herb's and found a lot of interesting programs and games. In fact, I believe that it was Herb's where I found the Atarisoft games like Track and Field before Big Red and/or Quality started selling them through their catalogs.

The time I discovered Herb's was about the same time I bought my first modem and got online with my IIe. All in all, quite a fun time it was back then.

Flobiynoid (sp?) - 8 bit Arkanoid clone. I found it at a Bay Area software clearance shop (Herb's Software - now closed I believe) and it was fun as heck.

I remember Herb's!

I must have spent hours flipping through his boxes of "random disks"
looking for treasure! ;-)

I discovered Herb's when the Frys opened across the street...
